We have been informed that Fr. Crawford tested positive for Covid-19 on the evening of January 3rd. Accordingly, he will be quarantining and will not celebrate public Mass until January 14th. All Masses at St. Christopher will continue as scheduled. We will keep you posted of any updates.

As tax season approaches, please call or email the rectory if you would like a year-end contribution statement. We will provide them by request only. If you donate online through WeShare, you can access and print your year-end statement by logging in to your WeShare account. Thank you for your support of our wonderful parish!

Save those unwanted Christmas gifts! In the Spring of 2022, under the direction of Gina McCrudden, we will be opening a Thrift Shop to raise funds for our parish. A planning meeting will be scheduled soon and we will be looking for volunteers to help. See future bulletins for more information.

Friday, January 7th is First Friday. Adoration will take place after the 9:00 am Daily Mass until Noon. There is a sign-up sheet in back of the church. Two guardians are needed at all times. Please come and participate in this special devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Friday, December 31st: Regular Daily Mass at 9:00 am and Solemnity of Mary Vigil Mass at 7:00 pm. Saturday, January 1st: Solemnity of Mary Mass at 9:00 am and the Epiphany Vigil Mass at 5:00 pm.

If you are traveling for the holidays or unable to attend our Christmas Masses, we gently remind you to please send or drop off your Christmas offering at your earliest convenience. Once again, we are overwhelmed with the generosity of the parish of St. Christopher's! You have donated over $13,000 to support 54 needy families (225 family members) with gift cards and food for Christmas. In addition, you donated over $3,000 for Thanksgiving meals. Many of those families have expressed their profound thanks for making their Thanksgiving and Christmas more joyful. God bless you!

Attention All Ushers! We will need ushers at all Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses. There is a sign-up sheet in back of the church. Please indicate which Mass you will attend. Thank you.

Due to planned renovation in the St. Christopher Gymnasium, All Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses will be held in the church. Contrary to the earlier published schedule, there will not be any Masses at the school.  Thank you for your understanding. Christmas Eve Masses (December 24th):   4:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 10:30 pm Christmas Day Masses (December 25th):  8:00 am; 10:30 am    

The next Holy Name Breakfast will take place on Sunday, December 19th from 8-11 am at St. Christopher School, 30 Benner Road. See you there!

Confessions will be heard on Monday, December 20th from 4:00-6:00 pm at Good Shepherd, Rhinebeck and from 6:00-8:00 pm at St. Christopher, Red Hook.

December 8th is the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation. The Mass schedule is as follows: Tuesday, December 7th-- 7:00 pm pm Vigil at church; Wednesday, December 8th-- 9 :00 am at church & 6:00 pm at the St. Christopher School gym, 30 Benner Road.

Fr. William Garrott, a Dominican priest and respected preacher will lead a 3-day Advent Mission at Good Shepherd Church, beginning Sunday, December 5th at 7 pm. The Mission is entitled "Christ-Lock: Identity Theft No More!" The Christ-Lock mission is a unique, grace-filled evangelical moment which aims to help us enter more deeply into the life of the theological virtues of faith, hope and love during the season of Advent. The mission talk Sunday and Monday will start at 7pm. The mission talk Tuesday will be the homily during the Vigil Mass for the Immaculate Conception 7pm. For those who wish to arrive early, Fr. Bill will lead the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM each evening."

The 2022 Mass book is open. Please call, email, or stop by the parish office to arrange a Mass for a loved one.

If you are interested in purchasing Advent candles or Advent wreath sets, please stop by the rectory office this week. Candle sets are $6 and the wreaths with candles are $15.

The Parish Office will be CLOSED on Thursday, November 25th and Friday, November 26th. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

For those who wish to purchase gifts for the Christ Tree Program, the angels are available at the back of the church, sorted in baskets by gift card amount. Please tape the gift card to the angel and return in the collection basket or drop off at the Rectory Office by December 12th. If you prefer not to take an angel but still want to donate, please put your donation in an envelope marked for the Christ Tree. Any amount will be appreciated.

Attention all St. Christopher/St. Sylvia and Good Shepherd Parishioners....Please join us for a Holiday Social on Sunday, December 5th from 2 pm -- 5 pm at St. Christopher's School Gymnasium, 30 Benner Road. A great opportunity to meet and socialize with our neighboring parishioners and enjoy beverages and canapes. This will be the first of many St. Christopher/St. Sylvia and Good Shepherd events.
