Ash Wednesday is February 26th. Masses are scheduled for 9 am and 12 Noon at the church, and 6 pm at the school.

Our Basket Bingo Fundraiser will take place on Sunday, March 29th at the St. Christopher School, 30 Benner Road. Doors open at 11 am and Bingo begins at 1 pm. $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Tickets are available at the rectory office (Monday thru Friday 9 am - 4 pm) or at the religious ed. office (Monday thru Thursday 1 pm - 3 pm). Great fun and amazing prizes including a Wine & Dine Basket (over $350 in value). Raffle for a 50" smart TV. Penny Social with over 50 prizes, including a Michael Kors handbag. Delicious food items will be available for purchase.

We are looking for a few volunteers to help with laundering our altar server vestments. If you are interested, please contact Harriet at 758-5478.

We are collecting photographs of St. Sylvia's to be included in a Memory Book that will help to preserve memories of this historic church. Please submit your scanned photographs via email to rectory@stchrisredhook.org or feel free to drop of your originals at the rectory (and we will scan and return them to you). February 7th is First Friday. The 9:00 am Mass will be followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 6:00 pm. Two guardians are needed for each hour. Sign-up in the back of the church.

Tuesday, February 11th is the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. Our Marian Consecrations will be made at the 9:00 am Mass and the 7:00 pm Mass. The Sacrament of the Sick will be offered at both Masses. Come and be a part of this beautiful day of celebration and healing. Refreshments will follow.

All men of the parish are invited to attend A Day of Recollection at Mariapolis Luminosa, Hyde Park on Saturday, February 29th. Fr. Richard Veras will be our guest speaker. Topic: "As the Father Sent Me, So I Send You". Our retreat will begin at 8:30 am and ends with Mass at 4:00 pm. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. $15. Sign-up in the back of the church.

All are invited to attend "Returning to the Heart of Jesus", a Parish Mission at Good Shepherd Church in Rhinebeck. Sunday, February 2nd at 2:00 pm and Monday, February 3rd through Wednesday, February 5th at 7:00 pm. There will also be a special session Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after 9:00 am Mass. Conducted by Bill Wegner, Good News International. Bill comes from a unique perspective and understands the struggles of attempting to live a Christian life in a secular world. The Holy Name Society will be hosting a Lenten Fish Fry every other Friday during this coming Lenten season. Our menu includes: fried haddock, fried clams, & fried shrimp (combinations available) with sides of fresh cut French fries, house-made coleslaw, Kings Hawaiian roll and a brownie dessert. The dates are: February 28th, March 27th, April 3rd. 5 pm -- 7 pm at the school gym, 30 Benner Road. $12 per person ($6 for children under 12). Please mark your calendars and join us!

Attention all Teens...Join us for a fun afternoon of bowling on Sunday, January 19th at 1:30pm. $10 per person. We will meet at Patel's Kingston Lanes, E. Chester St., Kingston at 1:30 PM. Our event will include 2 games of bowling, shoe rental, pizza and beverages. Cost is only $10 per person. Space is limited for this event due to availability of lanes at the bowling alley that day. Please help to build the Body of Christ by participating in a Holy Hour to pray for priests every third Thursday at 7:00 pm.

Our Marian Consecration begins on January 6th and ends February 11th on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. You can choose to do the Consecration on your own or meet with friends/family in small groups or join one of two large group meetings that are offered. 1. Meets every Monday, starting January 6th at 6:30 pm. 2. Meets every Wednesday, starting January 8th at 10 am. All meetings are at the Parish Center. Please sign up in the back of the church to receive your Consecration book. All other materials needed for the Consecration are available on FORMED. There is no cost for any materials. The Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God is a Holy Day of Obligation. There will be a Vigil Mass at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 31st and a 9:00 am Mass on Wednesday, January 1st. Have a Blessed New Year!
