Our Parish has always been generous to our neighbors in need. Adjustments have been made to this year's Christ Tree Program for the safety of our volunteers and clients. We are NOT collecting food donations this year (turkeys, etc.). The traditional "Angel" gifts and Christmas meals will be replaced with gift cards. We would like to collect gift cards from Hannaford, Target, CVS, Walmart, and Amazon. Please write the dollar amount on each gift card and return them to the drop box at Mass or to the rectory office. Thank you for your generosity!

Teen Fusion will hold their annual Veterans' Dinner to honor those that have served our country. All veterans are welcome to attend with one guest. Due to COVID restrictions, this year’s dinner will be a drive-up/take-out event. Please enter the parking lot and remain in your vehicles. Saint Christopher's has joined a nationwide effort in praying before the Blessed Sacrament for our country. We as a nation can storm Heaven with prayers to keep our country free and protect our religious liberties. Please join us in prayer at St. Christopher's Church anytime between the hours of 9pm on Monday, November 2, and 9pm on Tuesday, November 3. We also need to make certain that we have coverage for the entire time that the Blessed Sacrament remains exposed. Please join us for our next Parish Movie Night on Sunday, November 15th at 7pm in the St. Christopher's School gymnasium, 30 Benner Road. Our featured film will be "Remember the Titans", based on the true story of African-American coach Herman Boone, portrayed by Denzel Washington, and his attempt to integrate the T. C. Williams High School football team in Alexandria, Virginia, in 1971. A great movie for teens! A free will offering will be taken.

All Souls Day is November 2nd. To have your loved ones remembered in the All Souls Novena of Masses, please return your envelopes to the rectory office by October 30th. Extra envelopes can be picked up in back of the church or at the rectory. Thank you.

Keith White will be ordained a deacon on October 31st at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. It will be livestreamed at our Parish Center at 30 Benner Road at 9:00 am. All are welcome to attend. Keith White's first Masses as a deacon will be celebrated at St. Christopher's gymnasium on November 1st at 9:00 am and Noon.

A warm welcome to Bishop Colacicco, who will be visiting our parish on Friday, 10/23 and Saturday, 10/24 to celebrate our Confirmation Masses. Congratulations to our Confirmandi and their families.

Area hospitals are experiencing an increase in demand for all blood types. Our next Blood Drive is scheduled for: Saturday 11/7/20 from 8:00am-2:00pm at 30 Benner Road, Red Hook in the Parish Hall (blue awning). Due to the current public health crisis and social distancing rules, donors ARE ENCOURAGED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT by calling 1-800-933-2566 or go online at nybc.org. The Rectory Office will be CLOSED on Monday, October 12th in observance of Columbus Day.

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, we will have a blessing of pets on Saturday, October 3rd at 12:00 pm on the church lawn.

Our Tag Sale will take place this weekend, OUTSIDE at the St. Christopher School, 30 Benner Road. Friday, September 11th from 9 am-4 pm, Saturday, September 12th from 9 am-3 pm and Sunday, September 13th from 1:30-3:30 pm. For the safety of all, please wear a mask. Credit cards will be accepted.

Due to church restoration projects, all Masses (daily and weekend) will be held in the gymnasium at St. Christopher's School, 30 Benner Road until further notice. First Friday Adoration will take place at the chapel. The church will remain open daily until 6:30 pm for private prayer.
